Porvoo's sweet treasure

Up for some sweets? If you want to enjoy some really nice chocolates and candies and at the same time support local products then give Brunberg a try.

Brunberg candies

Brunberg Oy is a small sweet manufacturer from Porvoo, around 50 km east of Helsinki. The company has a 150 year old tradition and has a produces things such as truffles, Alku caramel fudges, jelly sweets, liquorice and of course the famous Brunger kisses. You can get their products in most supermarkets in and around Helsinki. You can also come to their outlets in Porvoo and combine the trip with a walk around the beautiful old Finnish town.

FYI Brunberg does not believe advertisement. They rather invest that money in their employees salleries and in improving their production.

Beautiful old Porvoo

Just a few kilometers away from Helsinki lays the picturesque Porvoo. It is the second oldest town in Finland and has one of the most preserved and historic old cores you can find in the country.

In the old center over 200 cute wooden houses are just waiting to be admired by the visitors. You can take a guided tour to learn more about the history of the place or just stroll around the narrow streets, stop for a coffee or some ice cream here and there and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful place.
