A good deal

You are looking for some some new tech gadget? You don't have any specific product in mind but would like to pay a reasonable price? Then check out the reduced products at Verkkokauppa.com in Jätkäsaari. On the third floor in the audio and photo corner you find a corner with shelves filled really good offers. Many products have a damaged wrapping or similar. Technically they are all brand new though and you can save loads here.

Get a tablet for around 100 Euros less than the normal price. Or some cables you need for just a few Euros. The items are in no specific order. So you just have to make your way through all the shelves to find what you were looking for. But it might pay off.

Check it out and find some really good deals.

3D on the next level

At Verkkokauppa.com you can try the Oculus VR and decide for yourself if this could be the future of gaming.

The high-tech goggles allow you to travel through a 3D world in 110°. Instead of looking at an ordinary monitor that tells you where to look you can now move your head around and explore the world around you in a natural way.

Till Sunday you can try it for free at Verkkokauppa.com in Länsisatama. Experience a ride on a wooden rollercoaster that feels surprisingly real even though you are actually just sitting on a normal chair. You find the Oculus VR demonstration in the gaming department on the 3rd floor. It’s worth a try!

Need new passport pictures?

Those small passport pictures are needed all the time. But unfortunately taking them is not that cheap normally.

At the moment Verkkokauppa.com has a really good offer though. Get six passport pictures for just 1.00 €. The offer is just valid Monday through Thursday from 9.00 till 16.00. You find the Verkkokauppa.com store at Länsisatama. You get there easily from the center by bus line 15 or tram line 9.

Instant camping

Summer is here. That’s also the time for the festivals in Finland. And what do you need for that? Yes, all this camping stuff that gives you the chance to sleep at least for a few hours in between. But if you are not equipped well then it can get quite stressy and actually also quite expensive to get all the things you need.

You should take a look at Verkkokauppa.com and Stadium in that case. Both offer festival packages including everything you need for a reasonable price.

At Verkkokauppa.com (either online or in their store at Länsi Terminaali) you get a rain jacket, a pop-up tent, a sleeping bag and a camping mat for around 40 Euros.

Stadium offers an air bed, an air pump, a sleeping bag and a bag for carrying all that stuff for around 30 Euros.

Don’t expect those things to last for long. But for a weekend or two it should definitely be enough.

Your own Angry Birds

As most of you probably know the world famous game Angry Birds comes from Finland. It is invented by the company Rovio from Espoo. Nowadays they don’t just focus on the games themselves but also sell lots of merchandising products. For that reason they opened the first official Angry Birds fan shop in Helsinki. You find it inside the big electronic store verkkokauppa.com at Länsiterminaali.

Even though the design is pretty nice and they had nice ideas how to decorate e.g. with a big sling that you can sit on it is in face a pretty small shop. Furthermore you can also get most of the products at other shops throughout town. Sometimes even for lower prices.

But if you really want to have a big selection of Angry Birds products, the probably best place to get them is on their web store.

Enjoy shopping!

UPDATE: This shop has closed. Another Angry Birds Pop-Up Shop has opened at Helsinki Vantaa Airport though. It's open daily and will be there till the end of August.
