Saisiko olla glögiä?

It’s just a few weeks till Christmas and winter is close at hand. And nothing warms you up better after a walk through the cold than a nice cup of glöggi. Glögi is the Finnish version of muled wine. You can get an alcoholic and a non-alcoholic version.

No matter which one you prefer there are two ingredients essential for this spiced hot beverage:  raisins and almonds.

You can get glögi all winter long. Have a cup at the bar or get some at the supermarket and warm it up yourself at home. Finns like to occasional drink it with a lacing of vodka.

  1. I have been trying to perfect and promote Glöggtini (kinda like an Apple Martini but for Christmas) for a couple of years. It is two parts vodka three parts not concentrated glöggi. Garnish with raisins & almonds, sugar coat glass, serve over ice.
