In Helsinki shops are open every day of the week.
Also on Sundays you will find supermarkets, big stores and even lots of small
boutiques open. Most places will close at six though on the weekend. And of
course on National holidays like the upcoming Independence Day (Dec 6th)
or Christmas you will find basically everything closed.
But there is an exception. The K-Supermarket at
Kamppi Shopping center is open daily – no matter what day it is – till 22.00 and
offers everything you need. So don’t worry whenever you forgot to prepare for a
holiday.
